The Panoply of God's Armor
Ephesians 6:10-18
Introduction
- Previous lesson dealt with the power that God makes available to his
people for the war in which we are engaged.
- Remember what is at stake - the control of your heart and life and where
you spend eternity.
- V. 10 - it is our duty to be strong in the Lord - not an optional thing.
- In this lesson, consider the armor that we should wear in the fight.
Discussion
- SINCERE - "Loins girt with Truth"
- "Am I sincere in the fight?"
- This refers to the state of the heart with respect to the truth - have I
made it apart of my heart and life?
- Whether we are sincere will show when the battle begins.

- Literally, girt "in" truth.

- Lips are not the only things that can lie - LIVES also lie!
- SANCTIFIED - "Breastplate of Righteousness"
- "Am I living the kind of life that will enable me to engage in the
fight?"
- Righteousness is devout and holy living.

- When we do that which is right, we have the assurance of God's protection
- both in this world and that to come.
- SEEKING - "Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of

- Am I prepared to fight?"

foundation and prepared the soldier for the fight.

defense against vain and evil thoughts.

- The more we think of heaven, the less likely we are to sin.
